Out of Egypt
The land of the pyramids. The Great Sphinx. A land mass the combined size of California and Texas.
The majority of Egypt’s landscape is desert. No accident here. Egypt is a type of the world; the world is a spiritual desert without Christ. It is a dry and thirsty place to live or to wander.
You’ve got to come out of Egypt. The sons of God can’t stay in bondage. At some point the famine of your faith has to come to an end and you’ve got to leave the pyramid schemes for the Rock of ages. Tell the Pharaohs of darkness that you were made for the honey of holiness and the sweet bread of God’s Word. Egypt ain’t where Jesus will return. The world ain’t where you find the Spirit of God. You find Him in the Promised Land of joy unspeakable and full of glory. You find Him in the pillared halls of prayer. You find him at the altars of blood and sacrifice. You find Him in the tabernacle of praise. Stop being a slave in Egypt when you can be a servant in Jehovah’s house. Stop being a victim of temptation’s taskmaster when you can be a conqueror in the borders of truth.
It’s time for God’s people to come out of Egypt. Come out of worldly thinking. Come out of faithless Christianity. Come out of cheap grace, emergent perversion, and costless theology. Come out of prayer-less spiritual socialism, Pop psychology pulpits, and bloodless doctrines. Come out of political board rooms and get back to the prayer room. Come out Cleopatra’s den of seduction and stop committing spiritual suicide for feel good doctrines of devils.
It’s time for God’s purpose to come out of Egypt. It’s not about this world; it’s about who we can save from the world; who we are taking with us back to the borders of Abraham.Played: 257 | Download | Duration: 00:28:30
