10-29-11 Down that Road P1
How often do you deal with displacement from your hopes and dreams? How many times has something good been within reach only to be snatched away from you at the last minute? Then be encouraged by this revelation. Jesus Christ made a way. He was a road builder. In the middle of Roman expansion, building as aforementioned over 52k miles of paved roads, Jesus left a trail of truth; a trail that stretches from a rugged cross to a light emanating throne; a trail that extends from the darkest pits of death, hell, and the grave and ascends Mount Zion to a city where a the Lamb is the light. Listen to what the Word says: Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set us in the way of his steps.
This is like the President’s security detail going before him, clearing the danger, insuring safe passage. My friend, just get on the bus. The route of success in Him is predetermined. If you don’t know how to get there let God set you in the way of his steps. It’s like being pulled out of the bewildering jungle by a rescue helicopter and taken to a designated haven where warm soup and glowing fire waits. You go from being on the run to being on the royal road. No more looking over your shoulder but looking over the next hill of glorious possibility. No more fearing what Satan will dredge up out of your past because your past has been transformed and transferred to the way of His steps. You will have a testimony instead ongoing guilt and plaguing anxiety.
